Inclusive Transformation

At Peasum, we’ve been thinking a lot about organisational transformation. Whilst we don’t have all the answers, we’ve put together some thoughts on the topic and just want to engage in conversation around the following:

When we think about transformation who should we involve? Do we often leave out those who are vital to the process, or those who are meant to be the adopters of change?

Where does our transformation start – is it Top to bottom, Bottom-up? Do we start by engaging with decision-makers and leave them to drive the change or, do we engage the end-users who do the work and ultimately end up being the adopters of new changes be it (new technology, re-org or restructure etc)?

Who do we allow in our process the opportunity to say NO, or, HOW? Or, is our change just steaming ahead with no checks in place to get us back on track – if we’ve gone too far how do we turn back?

How do we get staff engaged in the change and excited with buy-in? Did we sell the benefits of change? And, how do we ensure we keep to the promises made at the onset without chipping away gradually at those business benefits we all thought we’d end up with but now seem so distant due to project preamble and jargon.

Just who is benefiting from our transformation – have we isolated the people we really need to drive change due to personal agendas or strong personalities with an unwavering mindset?
